Li Wei, male, Han nationality, born in Tianjin in June 1968, is a senior professor-level engineer. Li Wei graduated from Department of Automotive Engineering of Tsinghua University and received the bachelor degree. Li Wei is currently the Deputy General Manager of China Automotive Technology & Research Center Co., Ltd, Director of the whole Vehicle Sub-Committee of NTCAS, executive member of the council of SAE China, member of the council of CMIF. Li Wei served as deputy division director, division director, deputy director in chief, director in chief of CATARC Auto Testing Research Institute, and assistant to General Manager, deputy General Manager of CATARC. Li Wei has been engaged in the research on auto testing certification technology and won 9 times Science and Technology Progress Awards in Automotive Industry and Science and Technology Progress Awards of Tianjin etc. He has published over 30 technology theses both in home and abroad. He was nominated as the Model Worker of Tianjin City in 2010.

Xiangrong Li joined CATARC In 1998, he served as director of the real vehicle collision department of CATARC Automotive Test Center, minister of the collision department of CATARC Automotive Test Center, test management department minister of the CATARC Automotive Test & Assessment Management Center. In December 2020, he served as deputy director of CATARC Automotive Test & Assessment Management Center, and in May 2022, he presided over the overall work of CATARC Automotive Test & Assessment Management Center.

Secretary-general of C-NCAP technical Committee Since 2014, he has been engaged in Automotive testing and assessment. At present, he is mainly responsible for organizing and coordinating the research of C-NCAP roadmap and the revision of C-NCAP protocols.

He has been engaged in the research on the testing and Assessment of intelligent-connected vehicles for many years, and has led the formulation, revision and operation management of assisted driving evaluation, special high-level assisted driving evaluation, and autonomous driving evaluation.

Weijing  Li

At present, She is the general technical director of China Automotive Standardization Research Institute, CATARC, and has served as the director of the Comprehensive Management Department of C-NCAP Management Center, leading the C-NCAP evaluation procedures from 2006 version to 2021 version. She is one of working group members of China's national standard review expert advisory committee. She is also a member of NTCAS(National Techincal Committee of Auto Standardization) about auto Crash Test, Bus, Glass and committee member of CSAE. She has rich experience in automobile standard research, standard formulation and management.

Zhang Xianglei graduated from Jilin University. Since he graduated and worked with CATARC in 2008, he has been engaged in automobile crash test and has rich experience in certification and testing. Now he is responsible for the implementation of C-NCAP crash tests, and participate in the drafting of test and evaluation rules as a member of C-NCAP Expert Committee.

Dr. Bu Xiaobing, who works at CATARC and is the director of the Impact Test Analysis Department,he is engaged in the research of passive safety development and virtual testing, has published 8 SCI papers and more than 20 EI papers, and has rich theoretical knowledge and engineering development experience. At present, he is mainly engaged in the technical research and protocols revision of passive safety virtual testing, active and passive safety integration virtual testing.

James C Cheng graduated from Purdue University with a PhD in Engineering Mechanics. He served as Technical Specialist and Senior manager in Ford NA from 1988 to 2018 with various Safety positons from New Program development, Core & Advance, to Research. James C Cheng participated in many technical discussions with NHTSA and IIHS. Currently he serves as a senior consultant at C-NCAP Safety Committee and Ford China REC center.

Ph.D., Professor Senior Engineer. Chief expert of China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd. in the ICV testing field. He has long been engaged in research in the fields of NEV and ICV technology development, verification, testing and evaluation system. He took the lead in organizing the preparation and construction of the first national intelligent networked vehicle quality inspection and testing center, set up a high-level technical team for intelligent networked vehicle testing with a scale of more than 100 people, and formed a test and evaluation capability system covering intelligence and networking. He presided over and participated in a number of national 863 and key R&D projects such as "Test and Evaluation Technology for Autonomous Driving Electric Vehicles", "Test and Evaluation of Key Technologies of Typical Plug-in Range Extended Range Hybrid System", and "Research on Testing and Evaluation Technology for Electric Vehicles". Participated in the formulation of a number of national and industry standards for NEVs and ICVs. He is a member of the Intelligent Network Sub-Technical Committee of the National Automotive Standardization Committee, a member of the Intelligent Driving Professional Committee of the Chinese Engineering Intelligence Society, a member of the Vehicle Networking Special Committee of the China Communications Society, and a member of the Youth Committee of the Society of Automotive Engineering of China. He has published more than 50 papers in academic journals and conferences at home and abroad, obtained more than 20 invention patents, published 1 technical monograph, won two provincial and ministerial first prizes for science and technology and a number of other provincial and ministerial science and technology awards.

Held Master Degree from Wuhan University of Technology in China. Exchanged in Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia. Has been working at CATARC in Pedestrian Protection field for 8 years. First as a CAE engineer and currently as the Technical Expert for Testing methodology and standard Research. A leader of the domestic working group for the investigation of testing feasibility of aPLI, the clearance of protection cable and windowscreen evaluation method, continuously supporting ISO, C-NCAP and homologation by extensive experience and big mount of data.

Graduated from Technical University of Munich(TUM) with PhD in Computational Mechanics. He Joined BMW Group in 2014 to supervise a joint research program of BMW Group and TUM. Starting from 2017 he led a methodolgy development team with junior researchers active in the fields of crashworthiness optimization, advanced simulation methods and platform development strategy. In 2019, he was dispatched to BMW-Brilliance Automotive as a Manager of passive safety to expand the international R&D footprint of BMW Group. Since 2022, he was dispacted to the BMW Group and GWM Joint Venture Spotlight as a Sr. Manager of Safety Performance to be responsible for the product development regarding passive and active safety. He is now a memeber of the C-CNAP committee.

At present, he is the director of the Intelligent driving department of CATARC, and has served as the executive deputy general manager of Shanghai Songhong Intelligent Automobile Technology Co., Ltd., and concurrently served as the deputy group leader of the intelligent networking group of CSAE Testing Branch, and an ISO/TC22/SC33 expert. He has deeply participated in the work related to intelligent driving of the WP29 GRVA Working Group of the United Nations, and took the lead in researching the test protocols and roadmap of the active safety part of C-NCAP 2018,2021 and 2024 as the technical director.
