The Fraunhofer Institute for Structural Durability and System Reliability LBF has many years of experience from a wide variety of projects relating to casting evaluation and is the consortium leader for DNAguss. It is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy via the Project Management Organisation Juelich within the framework of the 7th Energy Research Programme - Innovations for the energy turnaround.

The consortium, consisting of eleven partners, has set itself the goal of structuring the exchange of information and data within the process chain for the construction and design of cast iron components in a virtual process as part of the "DNAguss" project.
