IT resources can be flexibly, economically and almost infinitely obtained over the Internet. The consumption-oriented payment offers companies potential for cost reductions and higher cost transparency. The investment in hardware and software can be reduced through cloud services, as these are provided by the cloud provider. In order to fully exploit the potential of so-called cloud computing, trust and acceptance with regard to technology are indispensable. Especially in the case of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) there is still uncertainty. With the "Mittelstand 4.0 agency Cloud", the Fraunhofer ILO wants to provide a solution and helps companies meet the numerous challenges that an increasingly digitized world brings with it.
