The ASM Battery Multicell Model supports the coupled thermal and electrical simulations of each battery cell. The simulated temperatures of individual cells indicate certain temperature distribution patterns within the battery. These in turn can use the temperature sensors at the respective locations as temperature signals. A BMS controller can be connected via dSPACE cell voltage emulation hardware (EV1077). To simulate a cooling plate for up to six battery pack areas, cooling areas with a specific heat flux density can be defined. All parameters such as the initial temperature of each cell and the geometric battery topology can be intuitively graphically adjusted in ModelDesk.
