Future exascale computers will have a thousand times more computing power than previous supercomputers, allowing to overcome complex problems that are currently unsolvable. In addition, they deliver more accurate results and thus more economical solutions for industrial tasks. However, exascale simulations also generate considerably larger amounts of data. This creates new challenges in data analysis. This problem is addressed by the scientists of the Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing SCAI. They are developing methods that already perform the data analysis during the simulation.
