Since the advantages of aluminum are indisputable for injection molding, the interest for this material has steadily increased over the last few years. OEMs, injection molders and toolmakers have realized that manufacturing times and cycle times can be shortened and changes made more flexible thanks to aluminum. CONSTELLIUM would like to use the cooperation with SIGMASOFT® to enable injection molders to simulate the behavior of various Alumold® products and thus establish aluminum as a material for series production. So far, four different Alumold® data sets with different degrees of strength are available in the SIGMASOFT® database.
