Stable Tracking for industrial AR Solutions with VisionLib

The VisionLib engine, developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD and marketed by Visometry GmbH since 2017, uses model tracking techniques. For more than 15 years, scientists at Fraunhofer IGD have been researching AR technologies, and the innovative tracking process is already being used by numerous customers. The special feature of the VisionLib is the reliable and stable object recognition. The difference to already commercially available consumer AR solutions is the direct use of native CAD datasets for markerless, model-based 3D object tracking. Thus, the software developed in Darmstadt is very different from existing AR software.
