The requirements by consumer protectors regarding safety-supporting driver assistance systems for passenger cars are constantly increasing: Oncoming traffic scenarios, tests in darkness and higher expected speed reductions are some of the prerequisites for a 5-star rating in the Euro NCAP or a Top Safety Pick of the IIHS.
The introduction of emergency brake assistants for passenger cars is being driven forward by legislation: From 2022 they will be mandatory for passenger cars. The details for proof of cyclist recognition are still being discussed, all other test conditions have already been decided. The lane departure warning functions have also been incorporated into UN R 79 (Rev. 3).
The PraxisConference SafetyAssist condenses all relevant development framework conditions such as requirements, technical principles and development and release methods into a theory day, followed by a practical day on the test track. Various test scenarios will be performed and examples of how the test technology can be used will be shown live in the test setup.
Prepared for you:
- The presentation of current and future requirements on emergency braking, evasion and highly automated driving functions, as well as development strategies that lead to a robust system.
- Direct dialogues with the boundary condition's designers for the development of automated emergency braking and evasion functions: Legislative representatives, consumer protection organizations, OEM departments and suppliers of simulation and testing technologies.
- Practical experience with various test setups, targets, driving robots and control software at the stations of the DemoDay.
