Scenario Based Testing - the Future on the Test Track

Bertrandt, iMAR Navigation and 4activeSystems together show the future of testing challenge. How can multi-vendor, complex scenarios be performed safely, accurately and efficiently on test surfaces?

THE CHALLENGE: Multiple objects must be reproducibly orchestrated around a VUT (Vehicle under Test).

THE SOLUTION: An experienced, independent engineering partner, a provider of control center software and test site instrumentation, and a supplier of test tool solutions show how to use external control of multiple self-driving platforms, robotics from various manufacturers, ByWire vehicles, and the VUT in a higher-level software to create a safe and future-oriented multi-object scenario. The special thing about it, it is an application with open interfaces for the test tools, but also a connection for virtual validation.

The advantage of this tool chain: From results of a virtual validation, scenarios are directly prepared for testing on a test area offline, transferred to the test tools on site and the scenarios are orchestrated. Components from different manufacturers are used in the process. Always with the aim of being precise and reproducible. An individually coordinated safety concept in the background ensures hazard-free operation.
