Know-how in high-voltage technology, electrics and electrical engineering: Audi prepares the technical trainers and service technicians worldwide for the Audi e-tron. For the first time also Virtual Reality Trainings are used. The virtual technology enables realistic, safe learning of highly sensitive technologies such as the high-voltage battery.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Cray Inc. announced that the companies have entered into a definitive agreement under which HPE will acquire Cray for 35.00 USD per share in cash, in a transaction valued at approximately 1.3 billion USD, net of cash.
As part of the SUMO User Conference in Berlin-Adlershof, the openMobility working group was founded on 13 May 2019 under the umbrella of the Eclipse Foundation. Under the direction of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the group will develop an open platform for the simulation of mobility scenarios and applications.
Spinning polymer threads is a complex affair: simulating the processes far exceeds the currently available computing power. New approaches have enabled the Fraunhofer ITWM to simplify the calculations. Thus, complete spinning processes can be simulated for the first time, better understood and much easier optimized.
