It is the most extreme crash test ever executed by Volvo Cars, and a crucial one. Extrication specialists often use cars crashed at the Volvo Cars Safety Centre to hone their life-saving skills.
A world-first study has found the design of fuel tanks and the sitting position of riders is likely leading to one of the most common forms of injury among motorcyclists. Researchers at the Transurban Road Safety Centre at NeuRA simulated a variety of fuel tank designs and sitting positions.
The Federal Communications Commission adopted new rules for the 5.9 GHz band (5.850-5.925 GHz) to make new spectrum available for unlicensed uses, such as Wi-Fi, and improve automotive safety. Euro NCAP s members have elected Niels Ebbe Jacobsen as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the next period. Having joined the Board in 2019 on behalf of ICRT, Niels will succeed outgoing President Pierre Castaing.
