Early estimates for 2020 show that more than 38,000 people lost their lives in traffic crashes on our nation s roads. These preventable tragedies are often due to driver mistakes and poor decisions-speeding or driving while impaired, distracted, or fatigued. Collision-avoidance technologies have the potential to mitigate the impact of these mistakes by alerting a driver to impending danger or actively reducing the vehicle s speed if the driver does not act.

Global NCAP's first EV Crash Test delivers four Star Results for Tata

article imageThe Tata Tigor EV, the first Electric Vehicle (EV) ever tested by Global NCAP achieved four stars for both adult and child occupants in the latest #SaferCarsForIndia crash test. The recently launched Tata Tigor EV was assessed in its most basic safety specification, fitted with two airbags as standard. Further improvement could be made to the Tigor rating by equipping the model with standard fitment of Electronic Stability Control (ESC), side impact protection, 3 point belts in all seating positions and ISOFIX connectors.
