April 10, 2024  NCAP programs are the focus of SafetyUpDate

Traditionally, news from the New Car Assessment Programs (NCAP) are the focus of SafetyUpDate. In 2024, numerous presentations will once again revolve aroundthe consumer protection tests. We are particularly pleased that this time Euro NCAP Secretary General Michiel van Ratingen will give an overview of the innovations at Euro NCAP. His presentation will be complemented by contributions from experts from the Euro NCAP working groups: Volker Sandner presents the news on the crash tests from 2026. Richard Schram provides insights into the work of the Virtual Testing Crash Avoidance working group. Adriano Palao explains what is happening in the field of driver and occupant monitoring and Ilse Harms reports from the HMI / Human Factors working group.

There will also be all the important news from the important US rating of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety at the SafetyUpDate. Becky Mueller presents the current test procedures and criteria.

The two important Chinese NCAP tests C-NCAP and IVISTA will also be presented in detail. Peng Liu from CATARC reports on the current C-NCAP and gives an outlook on the changes from 2027. Dr. Yu Liu from CAERI gives an outlook on the 2030 roadmap of the IVISTA rating.

Safety has never been more important than today.

Reliable since 2003

The SafetyWeek is the international meeting point for automotive safety experts and will be taking place for the 22nd time in 2024. Three individual conferences on requirements, testing and the future of safe mobility are accompanied by the renowned SafetyExpo that features the leaders in safety innovation and technology.

On site & online

We are convinced that exchange and networking can only really work with a face-to-face event. But we also take into account the current conditions by digitizing everything that makes sense.

Up to date and top-class

As always, the conference is highly up-to-date and will feature top experts. This way the participants get the answers to the questions that concern them in their daily work. Of course, the changes in society and industry to the requirements of vehicle safety and the further development of automated driving will also be discussed and addressed.
