Artificial intelligence (AI) forms the basis for autonomous systems. Self-learning systems and AI applications are currently undergoing dynamic development. Thus, approaches to solutions and application scenarios, especially in the field of autonomous driving, are moving into the focus of applied research. Combined with the experience already gained from research projects on vehicle fleets, car sharing and electromobility, the scientists of the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering and Organization IAO are now tapping the potential of AI in this area.
