Some DYNAmore and SCALE employees wondered if this couldn't be done virtually with LS-DYNA: Quickly mesh all LEGO® bricks, assemble the model and check the results of the ADAC on the computer. The GT3 RS model was developed by DYNAmore and SCALE through an international co-operation in a short time and provided robust predictions. Only the model size was, with almost 20 million elements, a bit out of the normal range. The second crash object was the new Bugatti Chiron. The element number of the car-to-car crash model was now around 46 million elements. In order to obtain results in a timely manner, the team of DYNAmore had to switch to the machines of the High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS). You can see the results in the Youtube video.
