The automotive industry is increasingly using fiberglass-reinforced thermoplastics, such as organo sheets, to reduce weight. Organo sheets are made from a fibrous web or scrim and a thermoplastic matrix and can be easily remodeled with this matrix by heating to melting temperature.

The analysis of the sensor data of machines, plants or structures makes it possible to detect unusual conditions at an early stage and thus avoid damage. For this purpose, the data is searched for abnormalities, so-called anomalies. Machine learning can already partially automate this anomaly detection.

In October, carhs.training has identified the current, critical challenges of automotive CAE. These so-called Grand Challenges form the topics of the automotive CAE Grand Challenge 2019. Since their publication, carhs.training has already received a large number of presentation proposals. Nevertheless, presentation proposals are still welcome for all sessions!
