EDEM has presented the winners of their 2018 Visualization Contest. The contest promotes simulation expertise and innovation in the field of bulk and granular material simulation in engineering design, industrial R&D and academic research.
Clever thermal management can not only positively influence the temperature in the car but also extend the range of electric vehicles, as scientists at the Fraunhofer LBF Institute for Structural Durability and System Reliability have shown in the context of the EU research project »OPTEMUS«.
VIRES, an MSC Software Company, announced the transfer of the OpenDRIVE® standard, an open file format for the logical description of road networks, to the leadership of ASAM e. V. The standardization organization ASAM e. V. will adopt several standards for the validation of highly-automated driving.

The speaker is Prof. Remy Willinger, a recognized expert in the field and developer of the Strasbourg University Finite Element Head Model SUFEHM.
