The recently started EU-project 
The day before the Human Modeling Symposium, carhs.training organizes the seminar on model-based head injury criteria at the conference hotel in Berlin. The speaker is Prof. Remy Willinger, a recognized expert in the field and developer of the Strasbourg University Finite Element Head Model SUFEHM.
Highly automated vehicles will offer new, more comfortable seating positions creating the need for advanced and novel restraint systems in order to best possible protect all occupants in future accident scenarios. OSCCAR will therefore develop new advanced occupant protection principles and contribute to the improvement of diverse, omnidirectional, biofidelic and robust human body models (HBMs). 
Spectris PLC announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire VI-grade as part of its continuing expansion into PLM and into ADAS vehicle development, testing, and simulation. The acquisition is subject to approval by the relevant merger clearance authorities.
The modern automotive market requires manufacturers to balance between increasing customer demands and strict environmental regulations. To meet the regulations, lightweight and good efficiency vehicles are required. But sometimes these negatively affect NVH comfort.
