Survey identifies current, critical Challenges of automotive CAE

In preparation for the automotive CAE Grand Challenge 2019 carhs.training has identified the current, most critical challenges of automotive CAE through a survey among the CAE experts of the international automotive industry:

  • CAE General: AI in CAE Process automation and quality assurance
  • Crash: Modeling of point connections for multi-material-designs
  • Durability: Influence of manufacturing processes on durability
  • Materials: Material and failure models for metals
  • NVH: Sound design for electric vehicles
  • Multi-simulation: Simulating battery and electrical engine cooling
  • Special Session: Virtual testing of autonomous driving vehicles

These 7 Grand Challenges form the topics of the sessions of the automotive CAE Grand Challenge 2019, which will be held on April 17 - 18, 2019 in Hanau, Germany.
