Peugeot Sport to accelerate and optimize the Development of its Hybrid Hypercar

Mind the Gap Diversity Award by TU Graz for Work in Road Safety

BMW Group and Ansys Co-developing Simulation Software for Automated and Autonomous Driving

Siemens collaborates with Pasqal to research Quantum Applications in Computer Aided Engineering, Simulation and Testing

COMSOL - Analyzing Thermal Distribution in a Li-ion Battery Pack

article imageLithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries are used to power a variety of devices, from toys and drones to cellphones and laptops to medical equipment and electric cars. To efficiently power such devices, the temperature distribution inside operating Li-ion batteries needs to be controlled, as deviation from optimal operating temperatures can cause a loss, or failure, in their performance. One way to analyze the temperature distribution in Li-ion batteries is with multiphysics simulation.
