On October 30 - 31, 2025 carhs.training and the Biomedical Engineering Center of Wayne State University (Detroit, MI, USA) are jointly organizing the 
Cadence has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Design & Engineering ("D&E") business of Hexagon AB, which includes its MSC Software business - a pioneer in engineering simulation and analysis solutions. The addition of Hexagon's proven D&E technology and talent will build upon Cadence's 2024 Beta CAE acquisition, enabling a meaningfully deeper presence in the multi-billion-dollar structural analysis market.
Put simply, a material model describes the behavior of a material under mechanical stress by providing the stress in the material for a given strain. Classic models are based on an analytical description and are calibrated using parameters derived from experiments. In contrast, the new models learn material behavior directly from test data using machine learning (ML) methods. This is intended to simplify the modeling of material behavior, which contributes to shorter development times and lower costs in vehicle development.
The global number of motorcycles and mopeds has nearly tripled over the past decade - while fatalities have increased by 30 %. Studies also show that female riders and riders with higher BMI face a higher risk of severe injuries in crashes. The new partner project Equal Safety for the Whole Population of Powered Two-Wheeler Riders, funded by VINNOVA, will develop new methods and tools to better understand injury risks and create effective protection systems for powered two- and three-wheeler riders. The focus is on variations in rider size, sex, posture, and vehicle types.
To prevent human injury in traffic accidents it is necessary to understand the biomechanics of impact. This can be achieved through experimental studies with volunteers or post-mortem human subjects. Mechanical anthropometric crash test dummies have been developed to provide tools for the development and assessment of safety systems under specific loading scenarios. With increasing computer capacity, human body models have become popular tools. This course covers the basics of impact biomechanics, such as human anatomy, population variance, mechanical properties of human tissues, and injury criteria. Finally, it focuses on computational models of the human body and their use in developing and evaluating safety systems. Karin Brolin is an internationally renowned expert in impact biomechanics and human modeling.

Digital Twins are considered a key technology in many industrial processes, including the virtual development process for tires. Their use makes it possible to minimize tire abrasion, wear, and noise generation as early as the product design stage. To further develop these technologies, the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics ITWM, with support from the EU and the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, is building a laboratory with modern testing facilities for tires in a specially constructed technical center as part of an ERDF program. The institute in Kaiserslautern is thus laying the foundation for precise simulations and sustainable innovations in tire research.

The virtual EV Challenge in Bangalore was successfully completed on September 16, 2025. The student competition centered on electric mobility was initiated by IPG Automotive and Bosch and attracted more than 70 teams from all over India. The five best teams competed against each other in the grand finale at the ETAuto Electric Mobility Summit 2025. The teams' goal was to travel a long distance on a busy Indian road as quickly and efficiently as possible.
