On April 14th Europe's transport ministers have reached an agreement on cooperation in the field of connected and automated driving, during Innovation Expo in Amsterdam. Drawbeads are commonly used to control material flow during drawing operations in order to achieve the optimal forming of a part without cracks and wrinkles. Modifications to the position, length and strength of drawbeads are made during the process design to produce an optimal stamped part with minimum material usage.
On April 12 - 13 the automotive CAE Grand Challenge 2016 has been held in Hanau, Germany. In 7 sessions speakers from industry, research and software development reported on their efforts to solve the current challenges of automotive CAE.
