Of particular importance is the digital twin of the test bench for the development of active systems in vehicles, as they are increasingly used, for example, in the chassis area. Scientists at the Fraunhofer Institute for Structural Durability and System Reliability LBF have succeeded in developing a mechatronic roll stabilizer in cooperation with Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG by creating a digital twin of a servo-hydraulic test rig. In particular, the digital twin maps the physical limits of the test system with an accuracy that makes it possible to virtually evaluate the feasibility of a test.
