Euro NCAP releases the results for three Chinese electric family cars: the BYD SEAL, XPENG P7 and the BYD DOLPHIN. These cars have made their first splash in Europe's market with the glamorous BYD SEAL targeting TESLA's core buyers, the sleek XPENG P7 showcasing its long-distance range capability, and the BYD DOLPHIN underlining its value for money as an electric vehicle. The Tata Safari and Harrier have achieved the highest Global NCAP score for adult and child occupant safety in the #SaferCarsForIndia testing to date. The voluntarily tests are amongst the final results in the campaign ahead of BHARAT NCAP's forthcoming activation. The Safari and Harrier are based on the same vehicle platform, however the Safari offers a maximum capacity of seven passengers with the Harrier offering a maximum capacity of five.

Socionext Inc., announced it is developing custom SoCs for advanced ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and AD (Autonomous Driving) using N3A, TSMC's latest 3 nm automotive process technology. Target production of the SoCs will be in 2026. TSMC's 3 nm technology enables high volume production with significant improvements in power, performance, and area (PPA) when compared to previous technology nodes.
With TÜV SÜD's ISO 26262 certification of the entire Automotive Simulation Models (ASM) tool suite, the sensor-realistic 3D environment AURELION, and the user interface ModelDesk, dSPACE is now the world's first provider of a fully certified tool chain for validating safety-relevant automotive functions. New analysis from AAA, which examined five years of crash data from the U.S. Department of Transportation, points to the lack of proper child restraint use among children injured or killed in car crashes. The results of this analysis, released by AAA and car seat leader Chicco USA as Baby Safety Month gets underway, uncovered that nearly half (48 %) of children aged 10 and under who were injured and half (51 %) who were killed in car crashes were either using a vehicle seatbelt prematurely or no restraint instead of a car seat.
