BMW Group and Valeo are taking their long-existing relationship to the next level with a new partnership. After the major announcement of their collaboration for ADAS domain controller, sensors and software for parking and maneuvering for BMW's upcoming platform generation "Neue Klasse", the BMW Group and Valeo announced their cooperation for the co-development of fully automated parking technologies up to Level 4.

Smithers announces the fifty-year anniversary of the Smithers Winter Test Center in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (UP). The site supports the automotive, tire, and consumer products industries, with over 800 acres of test surfaces and engineering services designed to assist with technology validation in harsh winter conditions.
NVIDIA and Foxconn announced a strategic partnership to develop automated and autonomous vehicle platforms. As part of the agreement, Foxconn will be a tier-one manufacturer, producing electronic control units based on NVIDIA DRIVE Orin for the global automotive market. The National Roadway Safety Strategy (NRSS) is a collaborative effort between the Office of the Secretary for Transportation (OST) and the Operating Administrations (OAs) whose responsibilities include roadway safety. The NRSS sets a vision of zero roadway deaths and identifies tangible Departmental actions to reduce the number of deaths each year. As part of the NRSS, the U.S. DOT adopted the Safe System Approach, which includes five elements-Safer People, Safer Roads, Safer Vehicles, Safer Speeds, and Post-Crash Care-and acknowledges that humans make mistakes, and redundancy is critical.
