NHTSA proposes Automatic Emergency Braking Requirements for new Vehicles

The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking that would require automatic emergency braking and pedestrian AEB systems on passenger cars and light trucks. The proposed rule is expected to dramatically reduce crashes associated with pedestrians and rear-end crashes.

FCC greenlights major Safety Tech: Alerts Drivers when Kids left in hot Cars

New Chapter begins at Mcity: A Progress Report

Mcity moved to fully remote work in March 2020, and the test facility shut down entirely. By June, however, the track had reopened. The Mcity office reopened in August 2021.
