Toyoda Gosei develops Driver-side Airbag with new Structure

Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. has developed a driver-side airbag with a new structure that can more safely protect the occupant. This airbag is used on the new Honda Civic that was launched in North America in June 2021.

First international Safety Standards for fully Automated Driving Systems has been published

article imageThe use of low speed automated driving systems can contribute to reduction of congestion and carbon emissions all over the world, however the enrolment of such systems has been hampered by the lack of safety standards, until now; as an international group of experts led by WMG, University of Warwick working as part of an ISO technical committee have published the first international safety standard for level 4 automated driving systems.

Magna acquires Veoneer

article imageMagna International Inc. and Veoneer entered into a definitive merger agreement under which Magna will acquire Veoneer. Pursuant to the agreement, Magna will acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of Veoneer for $31.25 per share in cash, representing an equity value of $3.8 billion, and an enterprise value of $3.3 billion, inclusive of Veoneer's cash, net of debt and other debt-like items as of March 31, 2021.

X-Zero 2.0: Evaluate ADAS Tests directly in the Vehicle

Swarm Intelligence for Automated Driving

Free Access to Toyota THUMS showing strong take-up Outside of Automotive

Today, THUMS is the world’s most advanced virtual human body simulation model.
