After the first crash witnessing event of Taiwan New Car Assessment Program was completed on October 27th, 2022, the first two models (TOYOTA Corolla Cross and TOYOTA RAV4) were subjected to 17 TNCAP active and passive safety assessment tests. Both vehicles earns a 5-star TNCAP rating.

A new round of results from the Child Restraint Evaluation Program, PESRI, was launched with the evaluation of the safety performance of fourteen Child Restraint Systems (CRS) sold in the Latin America and Caribbean region. The CRSs tested are available in the region in various markets. The tests include four infant carrier models, four convertible models for infants or children, four multi-group seats (which can be used in both integral and booster mode) and two boosters with backrests.

Honda safety engineer Eric Heitkamp received the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. Department of Transportation for his work in leading the creation of a groundbreaking front passenger airbag design. Heitkamp accepted the U.S. Government Award for Safety Engineering Excellence at the 2023 Enhanced Safety of Vehicles (ESV) conference in Yokohama, Japan. Designed to decrease the chance of serious brain injury, the new passenger front airbag technology is now standard equipment in the Acura MDX, Acura TLX and Honda Pilot.

The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 scored two stars for adult occupant protection and zero for child occupant protection. In addition to new tools for scenario parameterization and a new ground truth sensor model, new CarMaker functionalities for customizing the 3D environment has been available since March 29, 2023. The simulation and test software also enables scaling the generation of roads and offers more solutions for hybrid and electric vehicle applications thanks to its new battery model and a modular powertrain architecture.
