Marelli and Hesai Group announced a collaboration to integrate Marelli's innovative headlamp design with Hesai's next-generation lidar technology. This unique integration seamlessly blends Hesai's new ATX lidar into Marelli s premium automotive lighting solution providing optimal object detection and enhancing overall vehicle safety, without impacting vehicle aesthetics or aerodynamics, at affordable costs.
Rohde & Schwarz has teamed up with IPG Automotive to redefine automotive radar Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) integration testing and thereby reducing the cost by bringing Autonomous Driving (AD) testing from the proving ground to the development lab. Combining the CarMaker simulation software from IPG Automotive with the R&S AREG800A radar object simulator and the R&S QAT100 advanced antenna array provides vehicle manufacturers with the ability to simulate ADAS/AD scenarios like those defined in the Euro NCAP in a controlled, safe, time-efficient and cost-reducing way.
To get automated and autonomous vehicles on the road quickly and safely, AVL is working with Microsoft, Hexagon, Synopsys, and Tracetronic on an integrated digital and automated toolchain. This facilitates highly efficient and precise simulation of driving functions and their testing in conjunction with various sensors, control elements, and driving environments.
Subaru Corporation announced a collaboration with AMD to design circuits for a system-on-chip (SoC) that integrates stereo camera recognition processing with AI inference, enabling the generation of optimal decisions. Through this collaboration, Subaru aims to further enhance its safety performance toward the goal of "zero fatal road accidents in 2030."
Europe's approach to tackling road safety is in trouble. The EU, and its Member States, have agreed on targets to cut road deaths by half in the decade to 2030. But, according to the current trend, deaths are set to fall by only a quarter. There were 20,400 road deaths in the EU last year - down just 1 % on the previous year. While this is a 10 % reduction since 2019 - the baseline for the 2030 target - the downward trend has flat-lined in several Member States and risen in others.

Hyundai Motor Group and the Dutch government have agreed to collaborate on facilitating the deployment of smart mobility and connectivity services and features for Hyundai and Kia vehicles. The collaborative project between the Group's Advanced Vehicle Platform Division, Kia Connect GmbH, and the Netherlands will enable the infotainment systems of Hyundai and Kia vehicles to connect with Dutch infrastructure systems to receive smart traffic and safety information.
